Caravan Storage Wiltshire

There are fewer better ways to explore the length and breadth of this country with the same level of freedom than doing with a caravan. The only problem is, while you are not on the road, where are you going to keep your shiny pride and joy? Most of you are probably thinking your driveway or even just in the space in front of your home will be adequate enough. You’re wrong though. It doesn’t matter where you live in the country or Wiltshire, as most caravan thefts occur in one of two places – motorway service stations and owner’s driveways and homes. The good news is, though, that there are some great specially designed Wiltshire caravan storage facilities available.

You are probably thinking it must cost an arm and a leg. To put your mind at ease before we go any further in our guide, therefore, we’d recommend you check out this informative post first. If you are sticking with us, in the following post, we are going to look at caravan storage in Wiltshire. So, whether you are based in Marlborough, Trowbridge, Westbury, Wilton or Cricklade, there are highly secure and reliable places to keep your tourer.

Some Choices

Caravan Storage Wilshire

Address: Purlieus Farm, Minety, Malmesbury, Wiltshire SN16 9RP
Website: http://www.caravanstoragewiltshire.co.uk/

First up, based near the small Wiltshire town of Minety, on Purlieus Farm, is the Gold Award CaSSOA member, Caravan Storage Wiltshire. This is well located, making it easy to reach whether you are coming from anywhere in the county, such as Malmesbury, Cirencester or Swindon.

The only access to this highly secure site, whether you are leaving or coming to it is by one entrance point. It is run by a family, who is on-site 24-hours a day and benefits from CCTV. They monitor all caravans and other leisure vehicles like trailers, boats, and motorhomes, from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. The site is further protected by fields that no thief would be able to tow your vehicle over. With PIN-code access to your caravan all year round and toilets and wash bays on site, this is well-equipped for all your needs.

Wilts Caravan Storage

Address: Flaxlands Wood Farm, Lydiard Plain, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN5 0AL
Website: http://www.wiltscaravanstorage.co.uk/

Although they do not currently possess full CaSSOA accreditation, Wilts Caravan Storage is working towards it. Even without the bronze, silver or gold award from CaSSOA, we think this is a nice little storage facility. It is a family-run operation that offers storage space built specially to keep caravans and tour vehicles safe from harm.

Some of the major features worth noting with this facility are the fact the owners live on-site, it has CCTV, hardstanding pitches, electronic access control, bunding, fencing and is close to the Cotswolds and the M4. You will even find drinking water on-site and a special area set aside for washing your vehicle, either when you return to the storage centre or before you hit the road.

Olive Mead Caravan Storage

Website: http://www.omfcaravanstorage.co.uk/

Based on the family-run Olive Mead Farm in Dauntsey, this caravan storage facility has the CaSSOA gold accreditation and offers individually numbered plots 365 days a year. With great links to the county and beyond, it is perfectly positioned away from the main road. With the option of both outdoor and undercover spots, that are all hardstanding.

As well as the fact the owners live on-site, it also benefits from security lighting, CCTV and access can only be given to authorised caravan owners and staff via the controlled gate. There are also servicing facilities on site along with vermin and pest control and caravan washing equipment.

Cotswold Caravan Storage

Address: South Leaze Farm
Website: http://www.cotswoldcaravanstorage.co.uk/

Found close to the famous Cotswolds Water Park and just a short distance from the towns of Cirencester and Swindon, Cotswold Caravan Storage is an ideal place to store your tourer when you are not using it. With several different contracts to choose from, the site has achieved the coveted Gold Award through CaSSOA as a sign that it’s highly secure and reliable.

Some of the great features offered at this site are the fact it is a farm and the owners live there. Further to that, all spaces for tourers are hardstanding and there are security lights, intruder alarms and CCTV monitoring 24/7. The only access to the site is via the double-locked gate and the perimeter is protected by soil bunds and Palisade security fencing.

As you can see, there are plenty of great options throughout the Wiltshire area for caravan storage. We have selected to highlight the above businesses because we feel they offer the best value and best in terms of security and facilities. It all comes down to personal choice, though, and only you will know the site that is best for you and your tourer. However, whichever you choose, if you do indeed pick one highlighted above, we are sure it will be the perfect place to keep your home away from home.
